New in town and eager to meet some people

I'm the girl that everyone feels comfortable striking up a conversation with. I am usually smiling and am pretty much always having a good time (why take yourself or life too seriously?). I'm a fan of good conversation, and I am an even bigger fan of sharing a good laugh. I am confident enough to be honest and share my opinion, but I am wise enough to appreciate that others might think something different. I love traveling, music, NPR (yes, I can be a huge nerd), watching sports, books, having an open mind, being spontaneous/making last minute plans, having a good sense of humor, watching tv shows (I most recently watched Boardwalk Empire and Game of Thrones), action movies, scuba diving. I also love red wine. :) I am thankful for my family, enjoy my work and love to travel. I think that the most important elements of any successful relationship are respect and trust, and I would love to meet a guy who has not only a tremendous passion for life but a sense of humor to match. I am attracted to men who are independent and confident but still conscious of others.
