A Woman Who Still Believes

I am confident with who I am, where I have been, and where I am going. I am content and optimistic (even when facing great adversity), and always excited for the next big thing in life. Yes, nice women exist, and that's me, but don't mistake that as a push over. I grew up in a good old steel town, but made it as a cut-throat New Yorker. I have a strong personality, but underneath, I am a traditional woman with an Italian-American upbringing -- we have big hearts that like to feed our men! I do believe a woman should complement a man, not necessarily compete with him -- it's a balance that most of us don't get right. I view warmth, compassion, honesty, and taking care of others as strengths and not weaknesses. I also tend to be a realist who likes to keep expectations in check, but that does become difficult when you find a real connection -- something that is few and far between these days. The beauty of starting any type of relationship is slowly unraveling the mystery without rushing to the finish line - taking the time to get to know each other and having fun along the way. Life and people are not perfect, including myself, but for the right person, those imperfections are what we come to love. We all have something special to offer and I believe we should appreciate others for what they truly are, not what we think they should be. I have a thing for "nerdy, smart" men and enjoy a quirky personality.
