A day trip one day and hanging out around the house the next.
Do you believe in love at first sight?
Not any more as it has not done me much good last time!
How many kids would you like to have?
I have two great boys and that is perfect for me.
How important is someone's physical appearance to you?
Physical attraction is important to me but not enough. You must be beautiful under the skin as well! That means kind, considerate, compassionate and truthful.
Also, philosophical/spiritual compatibility (common attitude towards mundane as well as significant events of life) is very important. So is a good education. Your partner can be very smart, but without education, intelligence goes awry and can backfire.
If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?
I would make people see themselves as part of the world and not up against it or as its sole owner and exploiter. I'd make them see the effect of each of their decisions on themselves and their surroundings before they act on them.
What is the purpose of marriage?
To raise kids and get them ready for life in this world. And if you are lucky, you will also have a companion for life. But most of us have not been so lucky.
What is the most important lesson that you've learned?
Still learning. Here are some recent lessons for me. Just learned a bitter lesson on the devastating effects that age, hormones and a foul temperament could have on a relationship that seemed perfect. Also that both partners must try to anticipate these changes and take measures to manage their effect.
What do your friends like about you most?
My warm smile, helpful and cheery attitude and ease with which I deal with disasters. They also admire my wide range of information and my intellectual versatility..
What do your friends tease you about the most?
I sometimes notice they mock me for trying to manage too much at the same time.
What gets on your nerves?
Laziness, paranoia. sense of entitlement, insincerity, sense of superiority and selfish disregard of others.
What is the most important thing in a relationship?
That we see each other as human beings who are genuinely doing their best against the odds that the human condition imposes on us. Also to have your mate's best interest at heart, even if it means you have to exclude yourself in certain situations. And trust is very important.
What's the best age to get married?
If I had to do it over, I would get married around 27.
What turns you off?
Besides what I said above, gluttony, greed, pretense and lies. Bad hygiene is also a bummer. Crass materialism and being poolaki!
What turns you on?
A warm smile and nice smelling hair, glistening lips and a nice cleavage while having an interesting conversation.
What do you hope to be doing five years from now?
Live in a perfect natural hideaway working on one of many books.
