CaptureIranian fashion has undergone many changes over time, from the curly, wavy hairstyles of the forties to the hijabs of the eighties.  The country has also seen many shifts in the political world, and while all of this has been going on around them, Iran's women have been developing a different style.  There seems to be a promising future for Iranian women at this point in time. The fashion of the Iranian women today is largely influenced by that of the West.  They too have many similar items to those you would find in the wardrobe of a Western woman enjoy wearing the same clothing articles and accessories. The fashion industry in Iran at the moment is booming with hopeful, inspiring designers looking to make a name for themselves in the Middle East.  Iranian designers are very talented and could bring some interesting new designs to the international fashion market in future years to come.  This we can expect to see, I'm sure. The Middle Eastern fashion market made over $200 billion over the past year, and its income is expected to rise, even more, to bring in an excess of $300 billion by the year 2018.  Should the designs reach international markets, this is certainly possible. As Iranian fashion designers are bringing more fresh, new designs to the fashion scene, Iranian women are experimenting with new styles in a uniquely, creative style, and Hassan Rouhani is supporting them. This is positive for Iranian women, and their new style has featured in a shoot for an international fashion magazine, "Fashionable, Sexy, Haute` and Naughty (FSHN). " The fashion editorial was shot in the streets of Tehran and was a major step for the fashion world in Iran.  It had been many years since any shoots for international magazines were taken in Iran, and this allows a glimpse into the "culture of every day Iran." Westerners often tend to picture Iranians draped in black garments from head to toe.  Should they visit modern day Iran, they will most definitely see something completely different.  Skinny jeans and platforms are commonly seen in Iran, although there are still people who dress conservatively today.  The young, urban Iranians don't always cover all their hair either, and it has become a regular trend for women to do so. The hijab itself has had a revolution of its own. After the 1979 revolution, the hijab was enforced, and women wore a black head scarf covering the whole head and neck, representing the repression of that time.  In the 1990s women were allowed to wear colored hijabs, offering some hope for the future of women in Iran.  After the year, 2000 women wore their hijabs with their hair strands hanging loosely around their faces.  Nowadays, women wear their hair such that their hijabs don't cover much of their head, which is quite a change.
