The Persian New Year, also known as 'Mehregan' is the fall festival and has been celebrated by Persians for thousands of years. The festival marks the first day of fall and is enjoyed by many groups of people in the Middle East, Central, and South Asia, but mostly by Persians.
This year, Santana Row and the Iranian Federated Women's Club (IFWC) partner together to celebrate the arrival of fall and the 2016 Persian Fall (Mehregan). The event will take place on Thursday, September 22, 2016, at Park Valencia, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The public will be able to see live performances by nationally-acclaimed Persian musicians and artistic performers. In addition to the concert, Persian food and drinks will be served.
Here is some background information about the performers one can expect to see this year:

In high school, he attended a school for musicians in Tehran, and later graduated from the Fine Arts Academy in 1976. In 1990 he went on to earn a Bachelors of Fine Arts Musicianship and Performance from Tehran University.
